Civil War Bride Quilt Block #2

I'm on a roll now! I don't know about you but the first block is always the most difficult. When I start a new applique quilt I am busy auditioning fabric trying to find the look I want. Of course, it probably doesn't help that I have to pull every piece of fabric out of the closet and rebond with each piece! Do you ever look at a piece of fabric and remember when and where you bought it? I do. For example, I remember buying the pink and green piece I used for leaves in this block at The Quilted Moose in Gretna, Nebraska. http://www.quiltedmooseonline.com

  1. I love your fabric choices for this quilt, I could not imagine it in Kaffe Fasset but it is really working. Also, I love the Quilted Moose - I get to frequent it a lot because I live in Omaha. Enjoy working on the bride block, I just finished that one and am on to the fruit block - #8 - I needed one with bigger pieces for a while.

    Happy Stitching,

We recently returned from a trip to Omaha. Lucky you getting to live there! It's a wonderful town. I wish I could jump around but analytical me has to go sequentially! Maybe some day I'll break the habit and go from #3 to #15!
